Profile Summary:
The Partner Advocate role is focused on telling the Voya story to new and dormant advisors in partnership with the Sales Team. The role is strategically focused as their goal is to secure meetings with advisors for their respective Sales Leads. This role may also work hand in hand with Sales Directors on multiple opportunities at various stages of the process. The Partner Advocate also partners with Marketing and Sales Enablement as well as the Salesforce and Data Analytics Team.
Profile Description:
  • Leverage advisor research tools (Brightscope, Judy Diamond reports, etc) as well the knowledge of our local Sales Directors to identify and target dormant and new advisors active in the retirement space but new to Voya. Partner closely with the Data Analytics team to mine relevant information and apply that to target prospects.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales Enablement teams to develop timely and relevant campaigns and launch through a variety of mediums. Topics may include, but are not limited to product launches, technology enhancements, legislative updates, regional-specific news and events, advisor-specific calls to action.
  • Develop campaign specific as well as product specific Digital Sales Rooms to market to new/dormant advisors and to share with the Sales Team; ensuring a consistent and best-in-class engagement strategy.
  • Coordinate with Consultant Relations and Broker Dealer RM to develop firm specific campaigns. Report success to partners and leadership.
  • Track progress, engagement, and campaign success through Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive insights and advisor trends in the marketplace and share feedback.
  • Communicate engagement and insights with Sales Directors, Sales Managers, and internal team through informal touch points as well as formal presentations.
  • Leverage strong written and verbal communication skills to reach advisors with a targeted and meaningful message through emails, phone calls, LinkedIn posts, etc.
  • Present the Voya story to intermediaries; establish initial meetings with advisors and local Sales Directors.
  • Help to establish, build, and foster long lasting relationships with advisors and local Sales Directors.
  • Assist with seminar coordination, planning and execution in partnership with Sales Director, Consultant/BD Relationship Manager, and applicable Fund and DCIO partners.
  • Understand all aspects of the sales process, including pricing, investments, products, and services.
Knowledge & Experience:
  • BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years sales support or marketing experience.
  • 3-4 years of defined contribution experience.
  • 1-2 years of combined sales support in a defined contribution environment.
  • A thorough understanding of retirement industry and Voya product and service knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills including written and oral.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and persuade in a fast-paced environment through varied mediums.
  • Ability to make connections and build relationships over the phone and via email.
  • Self starter who embraces new technology and creative ways to drive business results .
  • Ability to cultivate and enhance relationships with advisors, firm, and internal business partners.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
$53,970 - $89,960 USD
