Job Description
Taylor Metal Products is seeking an outgoing, reliable, full-time, long-term team member. This position supports several outside sales staff and requires some construction knowledge (including, but not limited to sheet metal, roofing, etc.) Good communication and phone skills are required. The employee must be organized and have good math and writing skills. This position offers much variety, with many opportunities to learn and develop your career. Casual but fast-paced office environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and serving customers.
We are based in Salem, OR with satellite facilities in Washington and California. This position is for our Salem, OR office.
Essential Functions:
- Generate new sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
- Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures
- Accurately process customer transactions such as orders and quote, maintain complete and accurate records

Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED, college degree preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office and cloud-based computing. CRM software experience desired
- Typing skills and 10-key proficiency
- Electronic file maintenance and tracking experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data
- - ability to maintain levels of productivity including backing-up other positions in the company
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to quickly and accurately input customer orders into a cloud-based system
- Multi-line phone skills
