Position Overview:
The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for developing a team of highly productive sales representatives that meet and exceed revenue targets while promptly and professionally addressing the needs of prospective and existing customers. The Sales Operations Manager will be tasked with driving sales initiatives, revenue growth and client retention strategies. Other duties include providing coaching and mentoring to all sales staff, providing motivation and encouragement, and maintaining exceptional standards and accountability amongst the sales team.
Additionally, the Sales Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day tactical duties in the management of the client portfolio. These include daily production reporting, provision of ad hoc reports as required, day-to-day interaction with the client to ensure all pertinent correspondence is communicated to all functional areas. The Sales Manager is required to liaise with internal co-workers to ensure set goals and objectives from all functional areas are performed to meet the client’s expectations and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Salary: $60,000-$75,000

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of the Outbound Sales team.
  • Manage, Support and Develop a team of leaders that will enable sales plan delivery and quartile sales improvements across front line team.
  • Participate in sales effectiveness calibrations and leverage best practices to enable in month improvements.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor detailed inside and outside sales strategies and objectives.
  • Ensure the provision of excellent customer service
  • Maintain high Levels of Customer satisfaction
  • Implement and execute the company’s marketing strategy and business plans
  • Build and retain an effective team of sales representatives.
  • Lead, coach and motivate team to achieve pre-established goals.
  • Model and champion NTT Data values
  • Help plan budgets and authorize expenditures.
  • Attain budgeted revenue expectations.
  • Measure the activities of the Outbound Sales representatives.
  • Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Determine staffing requirements and hire or oversee hiring of staff.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of competitors and opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Create a safe environment for the discussion and resolution of value-related issues and concerns.
  • Work in concert with other department and business segment leaders to assure congruence with sales operations, representing the voice of the department, the customer and the interests of the sales team.
  • Complete sales reports as needed.
  • Perform regular performance evaluations.
  • Ensure that all personnel comply with internal policy and procedures and ethical standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
  • Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
  • Creation and delivery of quartile performance management and quarterly sales plan.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' sales experience
  • Minimum of 3 years management experience
  • Extensive experience in sales management preferred.
  • Telecom experience an asset.
  • Several years of experience as a sales representative (or a related occupation) is required.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing sales strategy and product development plans linking to the business plan with knowledge of national and international markets.
  • Strong working knowledge of motivation, training, appraisal, and general supervisory skills
  • Leadership ability and team building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff required.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in English and French
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives.
  • Able to find new methods and principles and ability to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices as needed.
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for our clients.
