Job Description
Essential Job Duties:
- Actively participate and manage new customer acquisitions and current account retention, including customer sales, quoting, and resolving customer service issues.
- Develop and implement marketing/sales plans, and monitor
- Manage all information needed to prepare proposals and/or agreements related to product
- Manage the life cycle of customer supply
- Maintain relationships with key vendors to establish higher buying levels and to reinforce company commitment to increasing market share, leading to additional support from these vendors.
- Be familiar with company product literature and be able to convey product information and availability to customers.
- Manage and support the continual improvement of our company's quality improvement
- Assumes other duties as
May Perform Additional Duties As Assigned For PBE Facilities:
- Ensure that proper use of Health, Safety, and Equipment practices are adhered to by all direct
- Make sales presentations to prospective and existing
- Assist in the development of promotional materials to enhance product
- Develop, communicate, and report on measurable goals and objectives for each direct
- Train and manage the development of assigned PBE
- Recruit and maintain a staff of qualified PBE sales and tech
- Manage the internal relationship with LKQ operations
May Perform Additional Duties As Assigned For Smelting Facilities:
- Keep abreast of aluminum market conditions, trends, and London Metal Exchange price
- Set pricing levels of scrap
- Be familiar with the company
- Handle miscellaneous sales items such as chrome, truck wheels, and dross.
Basic Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School
- Some college coursework
- For Smelting facilities, a minimum of five years experience in the scrap and aluminum
- For PBE facilities, a minimum of five years experience with sales, management, and PBE
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Must be able to manage and work in cooperation with
- Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others
- Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules including weekends, and might be asked to travel.
- Must be familiar with the company's products
- For PBE facilities, must have knowledge of paint, chemical aspects, and refinishing, as well as strong MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT:
- Personal computer, fax, telephone, and possibly the use of a company
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This position requires individuals to have the ability to work under conditions of frequent interruptions and be attentive to detail.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, as well as to an office environment.
- Should be able to tolerate high and low temperature levels, and might be exposed to occasional inclement driving conditions.
- The noise level in some work environments could be moderately loud.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or college coursework is desired.
- For PBE facilities, prefer 3 to 5 years of sales management experience and knowledge in the Automotive Collision industry a plus.
