Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven District Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing sales operations within a designated district, driving business growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate would live in Kansas City, MO or St. Louis, MO surrounding area.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Sells the company’s products in assigned territory.
· Lead and actively participate in developing specifier contacts and conducting regular specifier education and sales presentation.
· Works to establish new accounts in territory.
· Assists in the development of, and implements, the Company’s Market Strategy for the region.
· Sales and business tracking and reporting with proper communication to Executive Team.
· Direct and guide the Independent Sales Agents to achieve Sales and Margin objectives.
· Manage Profit and Loss for region revenue and expense budgets.
· Responsible for developing proper distribution and qualified contractors.
· Responsible for pricing integrity and general market knowledge.
· Accountable for knowledge of competitors pricing and product lines.
· Responsible for proper time and territory management and for proper and timely administration of PRS and SOPREMA business (call activity, reports, complaints, forecasts, expense reporting etc.)
· Accountable for proper communication to all customers, both internal and external.
Minimum Qualifications:
· College Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
· Five years of outside sales experience
· Three years’ experience Managing direct reports in commercial roofing, building material or construction industry preferred.
· Ability to build and maintain business relationships with clients.
· Excellent verbal and written communication
· Excellent time management skills
· Ability to multitask and complete work while traveling.
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
· Organized with attention to detail.
Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:
The District Sales Manager shall be in excellent physical condition as required. Specifically, the physical demands of the District Sales Manager’s include but are not limited to:
- Driving long distances
- Flying in an airplane
- Climbing and descending stairs and ladders
- Lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
- Excellent dexterity
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via telephone, in person and in writing.
- This position will require regular travel within the district. The District Sales Manager should expect occasional travel to Wadsworth OH and other areas of the United States as well as Canada.
- The District Sales Manager can expect some after-hours meetings and weekend activities as required to accomplish job responsibilities.
- Daily work schedule can vary depending on circumstances.
