About:

Colonial Life is an established leader in the corporate benefits industry that’s been in business for more than 75 years. We have recently announced the opening of a new regional office located in San Diego near the UC San Diego campus, covering San Diego county.

The Sales Account Executive is a critical role in building B2B relationships and driving sales within the assigned territory. In this role, you will not engage in any consumer facing selling of insurance products. This role is 100% B2B relationship building. Utilizing the tools provided you will prospect for and own all bookings, sales and revenue from the partner teams and achieve monthly quotas. This individual will also partner closely with the Agency Development Manager (ADM) to develop, land and expand new relationships by driving brand awareness across all verticals of product representation. Extensive sales training will follow onboarding, with expectation to close new client relationship(s ) within the first 30 days.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • The role is HYBRID. Must demonstrate remote working discipline.
  • Report into Sales Organization.
  • Responsible for all sales up to and including new bookings, revenue, churn, and customer satisfaction at assigned and target accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with client decision makers.
  • Build a robust sales pipeline by hunting new prospects and maturing leads through sales funnel.
  • Conduct and facilitate client meetings and need analysis.
  • Drive sales in conjunction and teaming with plan of company.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders (Clients, Partners, Sales, Management, Recruiting, Operations) to support delivery and ensure success.
  • Mitigate churn by creating retention programs and adding value through cross-selling, new products, and opportunities.
  • Effectively deliver and communicate with stakeholders to drive alignment of programs and goals.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

What You’ll Bring with You

  • BA/BS degree preferred, but not required.
  • 3-5+ years B2B relationship sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to drive strategic sales approach, with flexibility to adapt to new client demands, patterns, and requirements.
  • Ability to seek out and foster new client relationships is a must.
  • Desire to shape strategy and drive book of business with alignment to company’s strategic goals.
  • Familiarity and discipline with use of CRM platforms.
  • Self-motivated, with proven track record of execution as a team member and team leader.
  • Solid organizational, time management and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions.
  • Experience and executive presence to lead client meetings
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, priority driven environment and interfacing with all stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented, results driven, and pragmatic while also innovative and creative.
  • A team player who works well individually and with others.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to present to all levels of the sales cycle
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior executives and management.

· Job Type: Contract. The position is a commissionable on revenue generated plus the potential for significant bonus.

Expected pay range to be between $49,500 - $139,000

· Work Location: Multiple Locations, San Diego County

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: Up to $139,000.00 per year
