Business Development Representative
Position Type: Temp to Hire
Schedule: 7am-4pm
Number of Openings: 2
Pay Range: $23-$24 per hour based on experience. Eligible for a bonus structure that adds $1.25 to $3.13 per hour.
General Purpose:
A Business Development Representative is responsible for prospecting, identifying business opportunities, and generating new business through outbound calls and social media referrals. The role aims to expand the company’s market presence by developing successful relationships with potential and existing clients, identifying market trends to leverage, and collaborating with executives on business strategy to evaluate current trends.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Prospecting: Identify potential clients and the decision-makers within client organizations.
- Sales Cycle Management: Handle all stages of the sales cycle, including prospecting, introduction, qualifying, presentation, handling objections, quoting, and closing.
- Customer Interaction: Follow up on customer sample requests, proposals, or quotes, and respond promptly to customer inquiries.
- Outbound Calls: Make high-volume outbound calls to prospect potential new clients and convert these leads into increased business.
- Relationship Building: Develop strategic relationships with existing key customers to increase market share of products and services.
- Inbound Calls: Answer inbound sales calls and make outbound sales calls, including cold calling.
- Order Processing: Enter sales orders, proof invoices, and track stock levels to ensure effective handling of customer orders.
- Customer Follow-Up: Follow up and document all customer interactions thoroughly.
- Operational Support: Assist the Operations team with any special needs or requirements.
- Reporting: Provide regular input on all account activity, including status updates on a weekly basis, to the Business Development Manager and supervisor.
- Sales Goals: Meet and exceed individual sales quota goals.
- Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as required or requested.
Education and Experience:
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills.
- Minimum 1-2 years of business-to-business (B2B) product inside sales and customer service experience.
- Good organizational skills.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
