Sales Manager Duties:

As a key member of the property sales team, the Sales Manager has influence and accountability for the revenue generation of the property. Reporting to the Director of Sales or General Manager, the Sales Manager will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of competencies to help the property to achieve its business goals.

  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through weekly basis sales planning, telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and entertain customer, sales presentation and written communication.
  • Market research and analyze, create the strategy and action plan.
  • Prepare correspondence to customers and to engage/communicate with customer and end user/guest at all time.
  • Actively participate in internal/external business function/trade show/community events/industry meetings/party, to actively engage with other participant/business relatives.
  • To do monthly account review with direct manager, present the market movement, demands/trends and current business needs.
  • Implement strategy and action plan in achieving key sales program budget
  • Established contract agreement in one business season (yearly) base on applicable hotel rate benchmark.
  • Monitor and review all of accounts about the commitment in achieving the target potential room night as agreed by them in quarterly basis.
  • Active participate in daily business review meeting, weekly and monthly meeting by providing market demand/business needs/market trends, sales performance and sales achievement.
  • Conduct and to participate in any pre-convention technical meeting or other sales-related meetings within sales and marketing team or with other departments concerned.
  • Provide correct and clear written communication (i.e: Memo/Email) to other departments concerned to deliver quality services to customer.
  • File maintenance and updating the data/information provided in sales system (LightSpeed and CI / TY)
  • Follow up and monitor any inquiry from Global Accounts.
  • Follow up and give the right feedback/response in the right time of any business inquiry as customer’s expectation (by the latest within 24 hours).
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition/direct competitors movement regarding with the product, business development, rates, policies and customer; and to provide market intelligence report.
  • Worked closely with Direct Manager and Director of Revenue Management; to manage the market and to keep up the hotel performance.
  • Actively participate in any related sales training.

Requirements:

  • 2 years previous hotel sales experience, with a demonstrated and verifiable successful sales volume record
  • Strong managerial and supervisory skills
  • Highly self motivated
  • Well groomed sales appearance
  • Good attitude, honest and reliable
  • Willingness to work hard and face challenge
