Solstice Consulting Group is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (Permian/NM) for an energy services equipment client based in Midland, Texas. Role is REMOTE (must live in New Mexico / Permian Basin / West Texas) with up to 50% travel.
- Base salary up to $150k DOE plus commission / bonus opportunity, company vehicle allowance and benefits.
- Up to 50% travel in the Permian region as necessary (TX, NM)
- 10+ years sales experience in oil & gas upstream and midstream environmental control and production equipment and services.
- Candidate should have current established oil & gas industry connections
The Regional Sales Manager establishes sales relationships with existing and prospective customers through industry and product knowledge deploying a solutions-based approach. Also, achieves maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling environmental control equipment for the oil & gas upstream and midstream sectors (flares, enclosed combustors, vapor recovery units, etc.). The successful candidate will have well-established industry connections in the Permian Basin region.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Establishes and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the company’s products and services.
- Makes telephone calls, in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers at corporate and/or field headquarters.
- Research sources for developing prospective customers information to determine their potential.
- The ability to gather market intelligence in the upstream oil & gas market including competitors.
- Self-motivated individual with a strong bias toward action.
- Ability to execute corporate sales strategy at highest levels within current and prospective customers.
- Plans and organizes personal sales strategy.
- Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and the potential for new products and services.
- Supports organizational success with timely communication and coordination with other sales team members.
- Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities and advertising and promotional trend through the reading or pertinent literature.
- Participate in trade shows and conventions.
- Create and maintain a focus on company HSEQ.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred and 10 years of professional experience in the upstream / midstream / energy services sectors required
- 7+ years sales experience in oil & gas upstream and midstream environmental control and production equipment and services.
- Strong current customer network in the Permian region required
- Strong presentational, problem-solving, organizational and administrative skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
