Description:JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a motivated individual with a passion for sales and a background in selling carts. As our solutions consultant, you will spend your days generating revenue by selling commercial equipment to businesses within your assigned territory. You’ll have a great chance to succeed if you have excellent communication skills, a strong sales background, and the ability to work independently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to promote sales and achieve targets.
- Identify, contact, and visit potential customers to generate new business.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable equipment to meet their requirements.
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations to customers.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with customers.
- Collaborate with sales coordinators to ensure equipment is ordered, delivered and billed according to plan.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Attend industry events to network and generate leads.
- Ensure customer information is kept up to date in NorthStar / CRM.
Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Required
- Proven experience in Industrial Machinery / Utility Cart Sales.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Excellent judgement, organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Exceptional time management and organization skills.
- Willingness to travel to meet with customers.
- Ability to operate and drive demo vehicles.
- Ability to safely operate/load/unload a pick-up truck and trailer for the purpose of equipment demos.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
- Must have a clean driving record and pass background check and drug screen.
Desired
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Position operates remotely with access to a professional office environment and a requirement to visit and walk around various business environments.
- Spend time seated at a desk, working at a computer terminal to input data, handle phone calls, and exchange texts.
- Spend time driving to and from customer locations.
- Use computer as a telephone, messenger, and work tool, so expect to wear a headset and use both a keyboard and mouse frequently through the day.
- Regularly sit, stand, and walk for long and short distances.
- Hear with or without correction to be able to interpret and receive information and directions.
- Communicate, verbally and in written form, on a regular basis in order to describe and explain detailed, important, and accurate instructions internally and directly with customers.
- Occasionally lift and/or move material up to 50lbs.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Noise level is usually moderate.
