We’re looking for an amazing Director, Field Sales to fill this role. You’ll be responsible for leading a team of business development managers and representatives to meet and exceed assigned sales targets in excess of $100M in net ticket revenue. This individual will develop and execute a regional strategy that optimizes the opportunities across the assigned account base establishing strong and enduring partnerships with core agencies. In addition, they will foster and support an organizational culture that inspires and enables each team member to excel in their sales mission. They will oversee the Western Region as well as the Western Region sales team.

Responsibilities
- Lead a team of (5) five Business Development managers who each oversee key portfolios in the western region as well as (3) three Business Development Representatives.
- Ensure annual sales objectives are met and exceed the account performance for the assigned accounts.
- Develop sales professionals through performance management and ongoing coaching and mentoring.
- Lead all sales development functions for Western regions accounts which include large consortia organizations and networks representing the largest producing accounts. Meet or exceed the annual sales objectives for account performance for the division.
- Develop marketing strategies and tactics with each assigned account to achieve the company’s desired volume level, yield and ROI.
- Collaborate with National Accounts and Revenue Management to develop and implement account-specific strategies and tactics that deliver the company’s revenue goals.
- Develop and maintain exceptional, preferred partnerships with all accounts with daily and weekly interaction with partner contacts. Make quarterly sales calls to each partner to ensure must build and nurture deep relationships with top partners, deliver engaging main-stage conference speeches that delight and connect, and inspire a team to exceptional results.
- Ensures departmental compliance with all applicable laws, policies and procedures.
- Develop, implement, and drive a territory optimization strategy that enables business development managers and representatives to effectively engage a large account base.
- Oversee budget for direct fields department with financial responsibilities including driving US$100M in net ticket revenue.
- Collaborate internally across disciplines in the company (primarily revenue management) to serve up the right offers and promotions to drive improving profitability from assigned accounts.
- Provide brand and sales leadership visibility at high-profile industry events.
- Maintain effective internal communications and relationships with colleagues and internal departments including product marketing/revenue, inventory, itinerary planning, port operations and shore operations as needed.
- Drive a positive team environment that creates genuinely content and inspires team members through continuous culture-building initiatives
- Direct the successful resolution of client conflicts/opportunities with the goal of crafting win/win solutions.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports and team members
- Engage and build strategic relationships with trade leadership to align with partner goals and strategy.
- Attend various trade conferences and event as the representative of Holland America Line and Seabourn. Present, meet and oversee any activation opportunities
This position can be remote based in the US.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in related roles
- Strong command of Holland America Line and Seabourn products
- Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a fast-growth, disruptive company/sector.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to travel frequently to assigned accounts within territories
- An energetic self-starter with a demonstrated business acumen, a track record of delivering results, and the ability to build long-term relationships.
- Motivated and enthusiastic about meeting and exceeding sales goals and creating a measurable impact for the business.
- Can balance strategic thinking with world-class execution (brilliant basics).
- Expert-level skillset to motivate, coach and provide on-going feedback
- An excellent communicator and team player who embodies the company’s culture in his/her daily work.
- Ability to proactively collaborate across operating units and with colleagues from all disciplines within the company.
- Travel 25-50% with non-shipboard travel likely

- Base Salary Range: $112,900.00 to $152,400.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
