Job Title: Sales Support Associate
Reports To: Director of Sales Support
Department: Sales Support
SUMMARY
The Sales Support Associate reports to the Director of Sales Support and plays a crucial role in analyzing data from various sources and reporting information to internal teams and external customers. The Sales Support Associate is responsible for building relationships with multiple customers, coordinating schedules, and overseeing task assignments to ensure all deliverables are achieved on time. This role is essential for maintaining up-to-date communication with customers regarding product availability, delivery plans, and shipping information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing excellent Customer Service by interacting with customers through telephone and email to satisfy all types of customer requests
- Order entry/delivery status
- Price quotes
- Product inquires
- Providing daily/monthly reports if necessary
- Monitor orders for completeness and evaluate alternative products if necessary
- Resolve customer complaints efficiently and in a timely manner
- Support and build strong partnerships and relationships with customers, acting as the main point of contact for a specific client base
- Provide daily support to the Sales Department
- Working with clients to provide detail-specific order deliverables
- Tracking daily performance; analyzing deliverables against requirements and communicating progress to internal and external teams
- Navigating through multiple systems to input and gather information
- Highlighting potential issues with product requirements based on forecast and reservations
- Track and document schedule impacts and assist with delay analysis
- Work with internal purchasing teams and external vendors
- Communicate reasons for schedule variances and propose work-around plans
- Interface with various levels of sales, procurement, operations, and other functional groups to ensure orders flow appropriately
- Maintain the schedule and advise the project team on performance and provide observations and recommendations
- Perform special projects upon request from the Sales Support Director
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- College Diploma preferred
- 3-5 years’ Customer Service experience with a proven track record
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency in all Microsoft Windows applications such as Excel, Word, ERPs, and E-Commerce
- Must have a versatile skill set – exceptional multi-tasking, communication, decision-making, analytical, planning, organizational, critical thinking, and innovative problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior sales support and industry experience would be advantageous
