About the Position
Located at our Surrey, BC head office, this an important support role within our Sales and Marketing department. The position provides timely and accurate rate quotes, customer support and marketing leads to help promote and contribute to the company’s success. The role also assists in developing marketing opportunities, freight rates, maintains efficient communication and works collaboratively with all departments to help meet the company’s sales objectives. This is a fundamental role when it comes to helping the company achieve our customer acquisition and revenue growth goals. This position also provides room for advancement. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales & Pricing. Core job requirements of the position are disclosed below.
Position requirements:
· Provides pricing quotes/rates over the phone and by email
· Responds to sales and pricing inquiries by phone and electronically
· Generates and qualifies sales leads; plans and conducts telemarketing to generate new sales
· Establishes and maintains manual and electronic information regarding freight tariffs and other related pricing tables using company’s software and filing methods
· Maintains confidentiality of the company
· Negotiates with clients
· Follows up on sales leads and pricing activity
- Maintain compliance with company standards and policies performs other responsibilities as delegated by the Director, Sales & Pricing
Experience:
· Proficient in learning new computer systems
· Good math skills
· Strong data entry and keyboarding skills
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially MS Excel skills
· Ability to manage in a multi-currency environment
· Multi-tasking and time-management skills while working with daily deadlines
- Works well under pressure

Educational Requirements:
· Minimum high school diploma complemented by 3 years of progressive administrative and/or accounting experience.
· Post-secondary education preferred
