As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Construction Sales Director to lead and expand our construction sales efforts, build lasting client relationships, and drive business development across multiple verticals.
Construction Sales Director Position Overview:
The Construction Sales Director will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing the sales department and driving revenue growth through strategic planning, customer relationship management, and the identification of new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the construction industry, with the ability to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy, build strong networks, and lead a high-performing sales team.
Construction Sales Director Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Leadership
· Develop and implement a sales strategy to drive growth in both commercial and residential markets.
· Lead and manage the sales team, setting clear performance goals and metrics.
· Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other industry stakeholders.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets.
· Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies to stay ahead of competition.
2. Client Relationship Management
· Engage with potential and existing clients to understand their needs, ensuring that our services align with their objectives.
· Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and close high-value deals.
· Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure smooth handoffs from sales to execution.
3. Sales Team Development
· Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team.
· Provide ongoing coaching and training to improve sales skills and product knowledge.
· Foster a collaborative, results-driven environment focused on achieving both individual and company sales targets
4. Revenue & Reporting
· Oversee sales forecasts, budgets, and reports, ensuring the achievement of revenue goals.
· Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth.
· Provide regular updates to the executive team on sales pipeline status and key performance indicators.
Construction Sales Director Qualifications:
· 7+ years of experience in sales management within the construction or related industries (e.g., general contracting, construction management, or design-build).
· Proven success in leading sales teams and achieving sales targets in a competitive environment.
· In-depth knowledge of construction processes, project management, and industry-specific challenges.
Construction Sales Director Skills:
· Strong leadership abilities with a track record of team management and development.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day sales operations.
· Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.
· Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business Administration, or a related field is a huge plus.
