Job Summary
Do you have a successful background selling technology services, large scale services/products,
or software as a service?
As a Technology Account Manager at IP Pathways you are responsible for developing strategic
solutions to present to IP Pathways' customers and prospects, as well as maintaining positive
on-going relationships to meet evolving customer needs. Your overall focus areas will be in
prospecting, developing business, developing proposals for presentation to customers, and
selling products and services. You will utilize your excellent relationship building, negotiating,
and presentation skills to be successful in this role.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Prospect for new opportunities in the assigned territory.
- Use relationship management techniques to develop selling opportunities within
accounts; develop new selling relationships within territory.
- Schedule and attend sales call appointments with customers. Other IP Pathways’ sales
- Determining if a customer has a valid need for IP Pathways products and services.
- Determining acceptance criteria that a customer could use to determine the success of
- Utilizing a consultative approach, discuss business issues with customer and develop a
business needs.
- Develop an account management plan to sell to customers based on their business
- Build and strengthen your business relationship with customers within existing accounts
- Recommend marketing strategies for your specific territory.
- Provide status information to your manager including forecast/pipeline information.
- Provide, or facilitate training opportunities for your accounts.
- Identify IP Pathways customer references that can be utilized when reference selling
- Strong understanding of sales processes and techniques, with the ability to close large and
- Familiarity with technology services, large-scale services/products, and software as a service.
- Excellent skills in building and maintaining positive customer relationships.
- Ability to understand customer business needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for presentations and proposals.
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple sales cycles simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills to address customer issues and develop appropriate solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and support
- 3 to 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in a B2B capacity.
- Comfortable handling longer sales cycles and closing large deals.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage customer relationships and sales pipelines.
