We have quickly established the largest fleet of solar streetlights in the nation and now is the time we take our groundbreaking system across the US.

Streetleaf is the leading Solar Streetlighting Company in the US, with our sights set on world domination. To get there, we are going to need to change the way the world thinks about streetlights. This message is only achievable if Streetleaf continues to use the best available software and hardware solutions to make renewable powered streetlights better than the grid alternative.

The Role:

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for generating high-quality leads and driving business growth through proactive outreach and strategic networking. At Streetleaf, we do things a bit differently. There’s no corporate nonsense, and no old-fashioned hierarchy. Instead, we work in self-sufficient, autonomous teams. Each team picks the problems they want to solve. So, there’s no micro-management and no hiding behind fancy job titles. A Day in the Life:

  • Research and qualify leads to assess interest and preparedness to engage with Streetleaf’s solar streetlighting solutions.
  • Engage and nurture potential clients through diverse channels, including cold outreach, email campaigns, and social media platforms.
  • Update and manage sales activities, opportunities, and account information in Hubspot and Apollo.io.
  • Provide timely and comprehensive feedback to sales team on market insights, lead quality, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and optimize lead generation efforts.
  • Identify the needs of prospects and suggest appropriate products or services.
  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market by occasionally attending conferences and networking events.
  • Set up meetings or calls between prospective customers and sales executives.
  • Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

  • 2+ years of proven experience in lead generation, inside sales, or related roles required.
  • Understanding of sales processes, lead qualification methodologies, and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with prospects.
  • A deep desire to be part of creating something unique and who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
  • Ability to comprehend complex problems and explain them in a simple and relevant way.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-sufficient with ability to solve unique problems creatively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proactively identifies issues that require resolution or follow up and taking steps or making recommendations to resolve.
  • Person of high ethics, integrity, honesty with lots of passion, drive, and a sense of humor.

What We Offer:

  • $60,000 - $65,000 base salary plus uncapped commission

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
