Job Summary:The Account Manager is responsible for the retention and growth of a portfolio of client accounts. By nurturing and building relationships, providing great service and customer experience, the AM will have ownership of volume and revenue goals. The AM will ensure the clients experience from a total fulfillment perspective (load shipments, provider of solutions and problem solver) are adhered to. The AM will also liaison between the client and internal team members, identifying and resolving customer/carrier issues.
Daily Duties:
- Building loads and ensure accurate order entry and updating of loads to meet company and customer expectations
- Management of load lifecycle to ensure we’re servicing loads at the customers’ expectations and companies’ financial performance expectations
- Working with internal teams to support capacity (Carrier sales), pricing, and the asset division to provide the customer with the best experience
- Utilize market knowledge and continue to learn and implement newly found knowledge
- Negotiate both internally and externally to drive the best financial performance for the organization
- Build relationships with the customer to ensure we are continuing to grow and meet both the company and customers growth expectations
- Must understand and utilize technology from Google suite to our transportation management system
- Clear communication, both internally and externally
- Meet or exceed customer expectations around their scorecard and compliance requirements
- Meet or exceed company created KPI’s and ramp up schedule
- Create strategic plans around customer book of business to ensure we’re meeting and exceeding expectations at the customer level
- Be both strategic and tactical when working internally and externally to facilitate growth
- Monitor and promptly respond to all customer and carrier communications, ensuring timely support, including weekends, holidays, before and after regular business hours, maintaining a high level of responsiveness and customer service.

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Minimum of 3 years account management experience, preferably within the 3rd party logistics industry.
