EVENT SALES MANAGER
OMG Hospitality is currently hiring an Event Sales Manager for Molly’s, Moe’s Steakhouse, Waterbar, Union Kitchen & Tap Pacific Beach and PB Alehouse.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Sell, plan and execute onsite events.
- Create seasonal marketing flyers for each location.
- Invite Event Planners and prospective clients for onsite visits
- Make 20 prospecting calls per week
- Upsell clients
- Create marketing pieces for generated off site sales
- Solicit local businesses for ToGo options
- Coordinate all logistics for ToGo options
- Maintain detailed sales reports and submit them to Director of Events weekly.
- Meet or exceed goals on sales report
- Oversee setup and on-site coordination of assigned events,
- Meet with clients onsite to discuss their event needs and provide site tours of the venue.
- Create BEO’s and all related event documents
- Distribute BEO’s to venue Managers
- Update event menu collateral and POS programing
- Update events calendar and Convention calendar for venue management forecasting
- Order and deliver supplies and ensure that venues have the supplies necessary to expedite each event successfully
- Coordinate and communicate with management and culinary staff in a timely manner to ensure event success
- Meet with event staff at pre-shift event meetings and ensure that the event space is prepared for client/guest arrival.
- Greet clients upon arrival and review / communicate all last-minute changes and requests to culinary and event staff.
- Post Event:
- Review event receipts to ensure that all payment procedures were processed properly and provide receipts to Accounting and to Client.
- Evaluate events through Post Event guest feedback.
- Assist Event Sales Director onsite at large scale events as needed.
- Attend off-site networking events to build relationships with local meeting planners and vendors to pursue event leads.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
- 3+ years of event coordinating or sales experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, or Business or sufficient experience.
- Proficient in TripleSeat event software system a plus!
- Experience working with budgets
- Ability to problem solve and multitask
- Creates and fosters a collaborative work environment across all departments
- Displays a professional demeanor
- Ability to think creatively and utilize upselling techniques
- Strong time management skills
- Able to meet deadlines.
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Excellent customer service skills
- Superior communication skills
Compensation:
- Base salary $70,000
- 1% Commission on all bookings handled by the Event Sales Manager (ESM)
- 2% Commission on Events sold at assigned venues
Flexible hours in order to plan and execute events while maintaining office responsibilities; Schedule communicated to Director of Events; 50 Hours per Week.
