As we continue to expand our business organically and through acquisitions, we are seeking a talented Cleanroom Sales Engineer.
Job Description: The Cleanroom Sales Engineer position will be remotely located. You will work with the Modular Devices Cleanrooms team and prospective clients to build trusting relationships and understand their unique challenges and goals. You will be responsible for supporting the sales Flow Cleanrooms solutions to any industries where high-end cleanrooms are needed such as pharmacy compounding, biotechnology, tissue processing, cell & gene therapy (CGT), semiconductor, aerospace, trace metals, and medical devices. You will serve as the SME, Engineering, and Product Specialist, clarifying client requirements as they explore short and long-term cleanroom solutions, and translating it into actionable work for our Cleanroom Engineering team to develop proposals and advance the sales process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as the product and engineering SME (subject matter expert) for our cleanroom solutions.
- Support the discovery of customer requirements and relevant information to build comprehensive scopes of work for customers and prospects.
- Provide guidance on design and development to cleanroom solutions to clients and prospects.
- Support the sales team with developing client quotes based on needs assessment and client requirements.
- Translate client needs to our Cleanroom Engineering Team in an efficient and effective manner.
- Support Account Managers in Identifying prospective clients in industries requiring cleanroom solutions.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored cleanroom solutions. Collaborate with technical teams and engineers to develop comprehensive proposals and present them to clients.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients as a trusted technical cleanroom consultant. Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and requests. Provide exceptional customer service ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Service, and Project Management to provide accurate updates for customers and smooth project implementation.
- Represent the company at customer sites, trade shows, and networking events. Deliver compelling presentations and engage with potential clients to generate leads and expand the customer base.
- Assist in forecasting sales, tracking performance, and managing budgets.
- Continuously learn and develop sales skills in the cleanroom industry. Participate in training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
- Support the achievement of financial revenue and booking targets.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to drive market share by listening to clients and developing creative solutions. You’ll be successful by showcasing Flow Cleanrooms as a provider of creative innovative cleanroom solutions, not simply products.
- Ability to influence without authority and collaborate across all levels of an organization (internal and external).
- Excellent presentation skills in the customer environment and show team orientation, communication skills, and customer orientation.
- High degree of business acumen to include standard competencies (financial, market positioning, healthcare industry, and customer), to enable sound decisions.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's business practices and issues.
- Ability to develop SME level understanding of product knowledge on all product lines.
- Support achievement of business objectives for assigned territory (for example, penetration of account with product/solutions offerings).
- Support the development and execution of strategic account plans.
- Develop, build, and cultivate long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the customer organization.
- Assist in devising sales plans and strategies, develop sales forecasts, budgets, and operating plans for product sales channels.
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience required.
- 3+ years’ experience in a sales or business development or subject matter expert role with cleanroom-related roles strongly preferred.
- 2+ years in industry experience with cleanroom design, qualification, validation experience preferred
- Professional sales training like SPIN or Miller-Heiman a plus.
- Experience with sales quotas, and forecasting a plus
- Successful track record of supporting sales with the meeting and exceeding sales goals a plus.
- Success with both shorter, high transactional, and longer-term sales cycles.
- Willing to travel up to 25-50%+ as needed.

Additional requirements:
This is a full-time position. Due to the nature of the role, the Cleanroom Sales Engineer may work untraditional hours to accommodate customers in different time zones. Employees may be required to work beyond the standard schedule to meet the deliverables and expectations of the role.
