Your Role:
The Account Manager for the North America Process Solutions Team is responsible for selling complex technical products and services to a diverse array of biotech, healthcare and diagnostics organizations in a territory spanning MD, PA and NJ. The position is remote, with expectation of consistent travel within the assigned territory up to 50%, including occasional overnight stays to drive customer engagement. Occasional domestic/international travel may be required on an as-needed basis for training or business meetings.
The Account Manager will understand the technical specifications and benefits of the products they are selling and be able to communicate their value to potential customers effectively. They will identify, engage, and develop relationships within existing and potential customers to position and sell our products and services. The ideal candidate will be familiar with biopharma/biotech process and have either sales experience or prior engagement with suppliers in this industry. The candidate will bring a consultative approach to understand customer needs and present appropriate solutions.
Location: Preferebaly Georgia.
Field sales traveling to accounts in MD, PA and NJ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by prospecting and networking
- Develop territory strategy and plan for execution
- Organize product presentations and demonstrations and explain technical details to customers, in collaboration with subject matter experts
- Collaborate with technology managers and other business partners to stay updated on product details
- Enable technical support and solutions to clients during the sales process
- Develop and deliver sales presentations and proposals, both internally and externally
- Manage business opportunities, negotiate pricing and close sales deals
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and provide post-sale support as needed.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to sales forecasting
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in bioprocessing sciences, chemical or biochemical engineering, biology, chemistry or similar discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in Life Sciences industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with purification, filtration, single use, separation sciences and raw material technologies for biotech applications across upstream and downstream processing.
- Direct Sales Direct Sales experience or direct interaction with suppliers/vendors
- Self-motivated and assertive; takes initiative and works independently
- Builds and maintains strong relationships; builds credibility and trust
