Job Description

As our business continues to grow, we're searching for energetic, passionate people who want to join our elite team of mortgage professionals.

As a Loan Officer Apprentice, you will be training to become a licensed Loan Officer. We provide the necessary tools and training for you to become a successful Licensed Loan Officer here at GEF.

This role allows inexperienced salespeople to dive into and learn the mortgage field. We take ambitious working individuals and give them careers for life with uncapped income!

Responsibilities:

  • Field a high volume of inbound calls generated by our in-house CSR team
  • Prepare pitches and loan files for Senior and Executive Loan Officers
  • Learn loan products and assist with processes under Senior and Executive Loan Officers
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage loan industry all while working on obtaining your NMLS license
  • This is an apprenticeship. You will be studying to pass your NMLS and be promoted to a full-fledged Sr Loan Consultant where you can make several hundred thousand a year.

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree OR 2+ years relevant experience as a top performer in inside sales
  • Be a self-starter with ample problem-solving skills, focus, and the drive to succeed
  • Desire to help others achieve their financial goals
  • Be flexible to work 40+ hours per week
  • Be very comfortable selling on the phone and have highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • Be able to pass routine background and credit checks
  • No mortgage experience is necessary, we have a top-notch training program. Our goal is to provide you with all the tools, knowledge, and support to thrive at GEF!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 per hour plus uncapped Commission

Bonus: $1500 upon passing the NMLS Exam

Expected hours: 40 per week
