Sales Manager

Job Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for delivering profitable sales growth within a defined territory in the Americas business unit. The success of the role is measured by revenue and profit performance against budget and historic results, ability to build and execute an opportunity pipeline, open new accounts, penetrate target markets, and successfully sell in Selig’s new products.Qualifications:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales or business development with territory revenue of $20 million or greater
- Experience in the packaging or consumer products industry strongly preferred
- Exceptionally qualified candidates bring knowledge of container sealing and venting
- Experience managing strategic and global accounts
- Proficiency developing a comprehensive relationship map within a customer
- Experience defining and communicating a value proposition tailored to a customer's needs
- Demonstrated results in delivering growth through competitive share gains and opportunity execution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience negotiating business agreements and managing price and profit margin
- Experience managing varied sales channels from immediate customer to end market
- Experience in a technical and consultative selling capacity
- Experience in leading teams and managing projects with influence
Job Functions:
- Perform all work in accordance with company safety requirements
- Maintain and grow a defined territory through protection of existing business, active opportunity pipeline development, and penetration of target markets
- Travel frequently (50%) within territory to meet with customers, supply chain partners, and end marketers
- Partner with Product Developments, Marketing and Business Development to define and penetrate areas of market opportunity
- Identify and mitigate areas of business risk
- Forecast and budget territory results
Organization:
- Reports to Americas Sales Director
- No direct reports
