Job Description
This ambitious Field Sales Executive will join our rapidly growing team. If you are energetic, upbeat, and have a passion for growing new client relationships and generating solutions, working with SEG Systems and Fabric Images brands may be just the role for you. The position involves establishing new clients, maintaining, and growing existing client relationships organically through the introduction of new products, as well as taking ownership of new incoming accounts and conceptualizing solutions for your clients' design requests.
You will become familiar with our manufacturing process to help select the right combination of materials to assist customers in creating 3D spaces for live events, retail, and interiors. Previous experience in design, display, retail, and interiors spaces is highly desirable. Knowledge of interior design software a plus.
A typical day in the role will involve hunting for new business, fielding incoming client requests and analyzing the basic mechanics to generate the best solution. You will become familiar with products and then lead clients in the right direction for their retail, interior, live & exhibit needs including artistic, display or acoustic product lines. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are a must. This role reports to the category Sales Manager
In this role you will support two brands. Fabric Images and SEG Systems. For over 30 years, Fabric Images® (Fi) has partnered with brands and creative teams to develop visually impactful and experiential solutions for installations, interiors, exhibits, and events. Fabric Images is comprised of three studios – Fi Interiors, Fi Live Events and Fi Retail – each focused on the unique needs of the markets we serve.
SEG Systems designs, engineers, and builds custom light boxes and retail displays for some of the biggest brands in retail, sports, corporate, trade and live events to visually communicate in a powerful way.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop client relationships through interaction by phone, market visits and email.
- Maintain CRM database on all activity.
- Participate in weekly sales meeting with Sales Manager
- Prompt, professional response to client inquiries
- Resolve client/project discrepancies through persuasive negotiation in coordination with sales operation team needs and client expectations.
- Understand clients’ current and future business needs for new and organic growth opportunities.
- Serve as liaison between client and various inside departments including (but not limited to): communicating solutions for product needs, order status along with production and timing concerns, passing along written estimates, as well as shipping and tracking details. Superior ability to communicate production capabilities with clients to manage expectations.
Requirements
- Two years of college preferred
- Five years business-to-business outside sales experience preferred, but NOT REQUIRED
- Ability to use CRM to its fullest potential.
- Desire to work in a dynamic and fast paced team-centered environment.
- Strong PC skills using MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Knowledge of interior design software is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to plan ahead, stay organized and follow through.
- Strong problem-solving ability with an attention to detail
- Technical, mechanical, and mathematical aptitude
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in conflict resolution
- Able to multi-task and effectively prioritize,
- Possess superior time management ability.
