Role and Responsibilities:
The Regional Sales Manager responsibilities include but may not be limited to,
- Solution-Based Selling:
- Utilize consultative selling techniques to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their business objectives
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets
- Prospecting:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach
- Build a robust pipeline of potential new customers
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the package handling and other conveyor applications for roller, pulley, equipment and related technologies
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to maximize revenue potential
- Customer Relationship Development:
- Establish, maintain, and nurture long-term relationships with existing and key decision-makers and stakeholders in your territory
- Time and Territory Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to effectively manage your assigned territory, optimizing time spent on prospecting and customer engagement
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market gaps, and potential growth areas
- Action Planning & Sales Funnel Management:
- Create actionable sales plans with clear goals and timelines to achieve regional sales targets
- Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in the ProVeyance end markets for conveyor products and precision tube fabrication products
- Self-Directed:
- Take initiative and work independently to achieve sales goals
- Manage your schedule and prioritize tasks to maximize productivity
- Results-Oriented:
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Analyze sales metrics and adjust strategies to improve performance
- Collaborative:
- Work closely with marketing, production, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience, addressing client needs effectively
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth
- Reporting:
- Provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and market trends to senior management
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, selling through Industrial Distribution, Manufacturers Representatives and direct to OEMs with a focus on package handling, conveyor products, pulleys, and related technologies and/or power transmission products (Bearings, Couplings, Gears)
- Direct experience and relationships for product conveyance with industrial package handling (Amazon, FedEx, UPS, Walmart), food & beverage conveyance (or related), Big Box stores (Target, Home Depot, Ross Stores), automotive aftermarket distribution (AutoZone, O’Reilly’s, Advanced Auto Parts) and/or baggage handling markets
- Proven history of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Strong knowledge of modern CRM systems and proficiency in utilizing CRM tools for sales management and reporting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in precision steel tube fabrication
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to travel up to 70% of the time to meet with customers, attend industry events, and visit company locations
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Initiative-taking to multi-task effectively and work in a demanding environment
