We are seeking an energetic and driven National Account Manager (NAM) to join our team! As the NAM, you will have a genuine passion for sales and a love for working in a dynamic, fast-moving category. You will take ownership of our business with CVS and Rite Aid, overseeing every aspect. To be successful, you will thrive in a fast-paced CPG environment, confidently collaborate with buying teams, communicate effectively across internal departments, and manage customer P&Ls. In this role will report directly to the Director of Sales for the Drug Channel.
What you will be doing…
- Account Management:
- Responsible for delivering Net Sales using a bottoms-up planning methodology
- Own and develop the relationship with the buying and replenishment teams at CVS and Rite Aid
- Oversee the day-to-day customer needs involving portal and paperwork submissions (i.e. promotional contracts, new item setup, etc)
- Regularly track and analyze account performance, including sales, promotions, and market trends.
- Prepare and deliver quarterly business reviews to both internal and external key contacts
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Drive sales growth by identifying opportunities for expanding product lines and new placements in seasonal categories
- Create and present compelling sales presentations, business reviews, and promotional plans to buyers
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, supply chain, RGM, Sales Strategy) to ensure seamless execution of promotional programs and line reviews
- Monitor and analyze sell-through data to adjust promotional strategies and maximize sales
- Collaborate with the demand planning team to forecast and manage inventory levels for peak seasonal periods, adjust for consumption changes, and account for promotional spikes
(Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in CPG sales, with a strong preference for experience managing CVS, Rite Aid, or similar drug channel accounts
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing relationships with national accounts
- Strong knowledge of seasonal product categories and promotional planning cycles
- Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret sales data to drive business decisions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
(Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience working in seasonally driven categories and promotional planning cycles
- Existing relationships with CVS and Rite Aid buyers
- Experience with syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI) to analyze market trends
- Experience working in TPM forecast systems
