This position is a combination of duties including all things related to functions of the sales department including:

inside sales & quotations

materials management

logistics

valve assembly & repair

shipping support

The purpose of this position is to prepare a candidate for eventual elevation into a sales role including Regional Outside Sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sales Trainee will follow an Employee Development Program to gain an overall understanding of the industry, our businesses and the operational and sales functions of the firm. In this development role, the successful individual will be responsible for learning key components of our products and services. The Sales Trainee will be cross trained within each area of the sales & operations groups to gain an overall well rounded knowledge. As the individual gains experience and expertise they will have a positive impact on our business. The main purpose is to prepare the individual to take a sales role within our organization.

Additional duties:

Work with inside sales on customer correspondence including quotations

Assist sales and quality departments with RMA tracking, receipt and inspection

Work with VP- Sales on Social Media applications

Process production orders and pick tickets in accordance with order instructions

Maintain orderly work area and document control of test and assembly areas

Assist Logistics Lead and/or act on cycle counts and annual inventory as required

Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Work closely with all members of the sales & operations teams. They will be required to obtain all necessary certifications within the prescribed schedules.

The trainee position requires a technical and mechanical background. The incumbent must have the ability to speak effectively and professionally with colleagues at various stages within the organization.

Pay: $47,900.00-$54,000.00 per year
