Position Summary:

In this position, you will be part of our collaborative inside Sales Team and your primary mission will be helping clients in a consultive role to determine technical solutions for their particular applications. In this on-site role you will interpret product drawings and specifications to determine total cost of production and develop price quotations by estimating the materials and labor needed to manufacture our products. You will be involved in setting prices and margins according to our guidelines. As part of your Technical Engineering Role you will follow your jobs thru engineering design and manufacturing, assisting the customer with project management as needed. You will work with existing customer accounts as well as build new relationships with “future” clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide responsive, consultive help to customers and prospects’ inquiries which will come in via our website, phone or email.
  • Communicating both spoken and written information from the customer or prospect to our engineering and production team as well as our shipping and accounting team members.
  • Using our computer estimating model, you will develop price quotations from information provided on drawings, as well as verbal information and written descriptions provided by customers and prospects.
  • Reading and interpreting customer specific technical specifications and understanding how they will impact pricing and shop capabilities.
  • Collaborate with other Sales Team members to get help and advice providing custom solutions for our customers.
  • Partner with our Engineering Team to help the customer or prospect come up with custom solutions as needed.
  • On going general customer service and custom project management for multiple accounts.
  • Use Salesforce to input customer information and quotation information.
  • Work with our Purchasing Manager to locate and obtain costing on non-stock materials that will be used on the jobs you sell.
  • Collaborate with Credit Manager to establish credit terms and communicate those terms to the customer.
  • Consult with Production Manager on job specific lead times and communicate those to the customer.
  • Assist the customer by providing real time shop floor updates as required as well as work with Production to set up customer on site visits.
  • Provide help setting up specialty shipping as required.
  • Actively participate in outreach and research to find information on new industries and potential new customers.
  • On going, planned and active customer outreach via phone, email, online meetings and visits to establish and maintain long term relationships.

Experience:

· Minimum 3-5 years sales experience in a manufacturing industry, custom manufacturing a plus.

Education Qualifications:

· BA/BS Degree in Technical Field not required but preferred.

Our customer base is spread out all over the United States serving industries such as chemical, aerospace, paper products, water treatment, energy, liquid filtration, steam & power, and many specialty equipment manufacturers needing pressure vessels for their product lines. Buckeye is a privately owned business located in Springboro, Ohio.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
