Here is what is needed to be part of this amazing team:

  • Minimum 2+ years in a related Admissions or Business Development position within long-term care or related healthcare setting
  • 3-4 years of experience in sales/marketing position, or with a heavy emphasis on customer service. A background in community involvement is preferred.
  • Associates degree in an appropriate field. Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Two years equivalent experience in sales/marketing position or Admissions Director position will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Previous health care community relations experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency, self-motivation, and goal orientation
  • Expert ability to make sales calls and develop business relationships with referral sources through the use of time/territory key account management principles.
  • Expert ability at making affective (persuasive) presentations and public speaking. Demonstrate self-confidence.
  • Expert ability to use the telephone as a sales tool, with an aptitude for translating phone contacts into service provider – customer business relationships.
  • Proficient use their knowledge of Windows office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to learn specialized computer applications (RTS, AllScripts, Edischarge) that are specific to handling job requirements.
  • Working knowledge (or the ability to learn) of health care reimbursement program (payer sources).
  • Ability to develop professional working relationships and communicate effectively with multiple constituencies – residence, family members, medical community professionals, Community opinion leaders, fellow Marquis associates, etc.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks that need to be completed on a daily basis.
  • Excellent organizational skills and documentation orientation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as admission/marketing responsibilities may dictate
  • COVID Vaccination Required

Summary: Responsible to build and grow total census and Medicare census by developing the relationships within the market and providing prospective residents and/or the representatives with the information and assistance that is appropriate when considering the selection of a Marquis Nursing Center. The AD spends his/her time engaged in revenue-generating activities: managing census and payer mix, inquiry management, external sales calls and community outreach. The AD also spends time engaged in non-revenue generating activities: customer services/satisfaction, public relations, administrative tasks and other duties as assigned. Maintains a strong professional relationship with Executive Director and other center department heads and managers. Works under the direction of the Director of Admissions Services.
