Baginski Wegner & Company (Euroleader) is dedicated to advancing small businesses and their technologies through government funding programs. We assist our clients in navigating the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) process by offering support in; proposal preparation, contracting and business development.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth initiatives in the federal technology sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and maintaining strong relationships with potential clients, federal customers, and end-users seeking innovative technology solutions for federal growth strategies.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively bridge the gap between sales and federal business development, excelling at creating and nurturing relationships with potential clients and strategic partners, building a strong network of connections (through attending events, phone calls, emails, etc.).
What Will You Be Responsible For?
- Research businesses, organizations and individuals to find new opportunities and generate leads
- Research and engage potential clients, federal customers and end-users to establish rapport and build strong, long-lasting relationships
- Hand off relationships to appropriate Consultant team member to either bring on as client or secure Letter of Support (LOS)/Customer Memorandum (CM)/Collab Agreements
- Organize and manage archive of contacts
- Attend a variety of events to cultivate both government relationships and small business relationships related to identified tech needs
- Stay up to date on industry trends through research, conferences, meetings, and industry events
- Develop growth strategies on behalf of clients to grow their technology in the federal sector
- Research and analyze program requirements and federal opportunities
- Perform strategic outreach with federal customers and end-users
- Prepare and lead client meetings to review strategic objectives, discuss upcoming opportunities, and report outreach efforts
- Conduct presentations to senior business executives and customers
- Manage conference and event set-up and tear-down
- Collect and report on event related data
- Maintain competency with Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events, as needed
- Report and escalate to Management, as needed
- Other duties as assigned
What Qualifications Do You Need?
- Minimum of 3 years of business development experience or sales experience
- Strong knowledge of and experience using CRM software (i.e. - Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platform)
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with large network of contacts
- Strong attention to detail and follow up to keep cultivated leads “warm”
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to breakdown complicated information into layman’s terms
- Demonstrated sense of responsibility and ability to work independently
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
- Ability to breakdown strategic ideas into actionable tasks
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Growth mindset and adaptability to keep up with frequently changing industry
- Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
Pay Structure and Commission: The starting salary for the Business Development Manager is $50k - $65k with uncapped commission. The exact compensation structure will be explained in the interview process. Schedule is Monday - Thursday in office, Friday is always Remote.
