The Sales Engineer serves clients by identifying their needs and providing technical advice on products and services.
The Company fosters a manufacturing-type environment. This position will primarily involve operating a computer at a desk in an office environment.

AD Process Equipment is looking to add a Sales Engineer II to our Naperville, IL Office.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Sales Engineer serves clients by identifying their needs and providing technical advice on products and services.
- Identifies current and future customer service requirements.
- Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Proactively identifies areas to increase our value add during the sales cycle.
- Identifies and closes gaps between customer requirements and company offerings.
- Coordinate effectively with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier teams to ensure budgets are properly developed, scopes are defined, and high-quality proposals are submitted in a timely manner.
- Coordinate Project Kickoff meetings as a hand-off to Project Management and Engineering on awarded projects.
- Assist in the onboarding of new accounts & management of existing accounts (as assigned).
- Assist marketing efforts (technical input, project examples, events).
- Attending various sales/product training to better support customers & outside sales efforts.
- Very strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Exhibits strong leadership and sound decision-making qualities.
- Ability to work from sketches to understand, fit, form and function of customer requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of Company personnel and others.
- Primary customer contact to meet customer proposal delivery schedules and performance needs.
- Ability to relate well to others and gain the respect of employees.
- Other tasks as assigned.
QUALITIFCATIONS FOR ENTRY:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated examples of initiative and aggressiveness in completing projects.
- Knowledge in the areas of ADPE's core competencies gained through experience with ADPE or a related business.
- Ability to travel at least 25% of their time.
- Computer literacy a must.
- Blueprint reading skills a must.
