Job Description
The Inside Sales Business Development Representative is a “Hunter” position. The primary function is to seek and close new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers. Responsibilities include developing leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities, contacting potential clients through cold calls, prospecting, presenting Osborne Mint to potential clients and markets, and closing new revenue opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Prospect for potential new clients and turn them into immediate and long-term revenue.
- Develop business within targeted market segments to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Identify potential clients, and the key decision makers within target organizations and markets.
- Research and build relationships with new clients.
- Collaborate with Sales Management to ensure the company's goals and targets are met.
- Create relationships with potential customers to identify their needs and qualify their interests and viability to drive sales.
- Present product information to customers once you have identified their needs.
Lead Development/Creative Business Expansion
- Contact potential clients through cold and warm calls and emails
- Working with the Marketing Manager and Director of Sales, conduct research on potential areas for expansion.
- Create specific tactics and timing (including scripts) for new market penetration
- Discover the key influencers and decision maker within the organization.
- Initiate contact with potential customers through cold and warm-calling or outbound e-mail campaigns
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
System Documentation
- Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within Acumatica
- All customer information updated in Acumatica
- All activities documented in Acumatica and tied to individual prospect accounts.
- Opportunities listed in Acumatica with follow-up tasks in place
- All prospects set up as Business Accounts with corresponding opportunities
Education Required:
- BA / BS from accredited college
- Experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree
Experience and Skills Required:
- Three+ years minimum lead generation experience using phone, email, face-to-face presentations, and social media platforms
- Passion for finding and identifying those who “want to learn more”
- Results driven, self-starter, persistent, highly motivated to increase earnings despite rejection
- Ability to travel as needed to develop business opportunities
- Good verbal and written (email) communications skills
- Proven track record of finding and closing opportunities
- Dynamic telephone presence
- Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Products
- Experience with CRM
- Familiar with HubSpot
- Must be able to prospect using LinkedIn and Sales Navigator
- Familiar with scheduling and project management
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
- Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations
Measures of Performance:
- Annual sales and marketing strategy developed
- Meet Revenue, Gross Margin dollar and percentage goals. The expectation is that this position will develop an incremental $1,000,000 in annual revenue.
- Ability to interact and collaborate with Sales and Production staff to exceed the customer’s expectations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
