OmniCable seeks to hire a full-time Project Sales Specialist to join our team in West Chester, PA.
The Project Sales Specialist will be responsible for outside sales development of large strategic accounts, focusing on helping our electrical distributor partners win large projects at end users, contractors, and EPC firms.
We offer great benefits and a competitive base salary along with a bonus. Please note there is 50 - 75% travel associated with this role. We are flexible with this person working from anywhere in the nation.

Currently, we are looking for a talented and tenacious Project Sales Specialist that thrives in a rapid Sales environment to join OmniCable’s Sales Team.
What You’ll Do:
The Project Sales Specialist will be responsible for outside sales development of large strategic accounts, focusing on helping our electrical distributor partners win large projects at end users, contractors, and EPC firms. This position will manage a defined medium to large size territory concentrating on selling specialty wire and cable, non-wire products and value add solutions for large project opportunities with electrical distributors. The Project Sales Specialist will also work with and expand upon the electrical distributors capabilities to meet the end customers’ needs for cost effective, efficient, and quality project execution. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer and revenue growth objectives. You must be energetic and comfortable building business relationships in-person and at all levels within our target customers’ value chain.
Account Development
- Proactively engages and influences end users, contractors, integrators, engineering firms and target specific accounts with the goal of positioning OmniCable, and our network of distributors, to be the partner of choice for project order work.
- Works to promote our value-added services including inventory fulfilment and warehouse management to support customers’ goals.
- Coordinates and communicates project activity between OmniCable region locations.
- Partners with commercial and marketing teams, when appropriate, to build new opportunity pipelines.
- Owns tracking, registering, and reporting of large project opportunities within OmniCable systems.
Customer Relationships
- Prepares and conducts in-person briefings to highlight OmniCable value proposition.
- Manages the distributor involvement on all end user activity by working with key individuals at major distributor locations in each market area.
- Develops order specifications, pricing considerations and contract terms & condition requirements.
- Operates as the key point of contact for any and all wire and cable matters specific to electrical distributor partners throughout the project lifecycle.
Work Experience
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree or requisite experience in manufacturing or distribution, preferably electrical/wire and cable.
- Minimum 5 years of Outside Sales experience
- Demonstrated track record of business growth
- Strong presence and experience dealing with customers at all levels of their organization
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Proficiency with corporate productivity and presentation tools
- Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong listening and presentation skills
- Possess a valid driver's license and operate a motor vehicle with satisfactory driving records.
