We are looking for an Outside Sales: Builder to join our growing team!

We operate 19 branch locations and 14 showrooms throughout Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina.
Function: This role drives sales growth by building and maintaining strong relationships with builders, contractors, and developers. You will be the face of our company, providing exceptional service, expert product knowledge, and tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of our clients in the lighting and appliances market.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages accounts by visiting customers at their business or job sites, reviews customers' inventory needs by walking their warehouse or storage facility, and manages customer returns by physically inspecting material.
- Maintains customers’ pricing, Negotiates, and establishes pricing and terms according to PDI’s requirements for customer profitability
- Communicates to the purchasing department unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products.
- Assists in collecting past due receivables and monitors customers’ current credit status.
- Determines sales potential for new and existing customers through inquiry, observation, or periodical research.
- Visits job sites as needed to measure or provide client services.
- Identify and target potential customers within the builder and construction industry.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and achieve sales goals.
- Conduct regular sales calls, visits, and presentations to builders, contractors, and developers.
- Manage and grow existing accounts by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients by providing excellent service and support.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in the CRM system.
- Stay up-to-date with product offerings, industry trends, and competitor activities.
- Work closely with the inside sales team, customer service, and operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the lighting, appliances, or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of builder lighting and appliances products and market trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
- Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
