COSCO SHIPPING LINES (North America) Inc. is seeking an District Sales Manager to join their Global Sales Division for our Northern California, Colorado, Utah, and Northern Nevada and PNW territory.

This position will be responsible for the sales team covering Northern California, Colorado, Utah, and Northern Nevada and PNW and report to and work under the direction of the Regional Sales Director based on LA/LB. The DSM is required to lead and assist the team to meet their weekly/annual goals.

Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

General Functions and Key Activities:

  • Leading and directing the team to best meet their goals (keeping the team up to date with any new projects, promotions, projects and service offerings etc)
  • Joint sales calls with the sales team
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Adhoc reports - making sure all information is submitted on time with accurate information
  • The DSM will also need to handle accounts directly under their own budget
  • DSM will need to review budgets and determine best methods for the team to approach and promote COSCO services. Help maintaining and developing new business.
  • Be available to travel within the territory
  • Keep the team motivated and be their mentor providing guidance and support.

Additional Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Candidate shall be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • The candidate should also have excellent knowledge of maritime proprietary information systems such as IRIS-2, as well as how to navigate/use the e-commerce capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of EDI capabilities and who within the Company to turn to for expert advice and set up.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
