Within the Value Based Program and Reimbursement Operations team, the Value Based Provider Relations Sr Manager manages the Value Based Service Executive and the Value Based Service Manager teams with the overarching responsibility of managing both internal and external operational processes relating to the Cigna’s Value based programs under Primary Care and Specialty. The Sr. Manager will provide counsel and advice to key leadership stakeholders on significant operational matters and provider issues, often requiring coordination between internal cross functional teams. He/she will focus on providing thought leadership and operational/technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Managing a team of 10-12 provider relations advisors, the Value Based Provider Relations Sr Manager has overall accountability for the successful delivery of end to end provider operational functions including but not limited to, Implementation of New Business and Ongoing Management of Existing Book of Business and Provider Relationship Management

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • End to end oversight of implementation of new ACO business and maintenance of existing business. Oversight includes enhancements to the existing process and/ or building new ones that foster efficiencies
  • Interfaces with other key strategic leads to ensure alignment across operational solutions, integrating input from Network Analytics, Medical Economics, Field Contracting, Provider Service, Clinical Policy, Claim Pricing, Contract Policy and Standards and Business Configuration
  • Leads resources to operate successfully in an agile model; both within the business operations team, and interfacing with technical agile delivery teams.
  • Ensure alignment with cross functional clinical teams supporting provider performance and meetings
  • Build and maintain strong operational relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Support provider experience through Cigna’s Value Based journey from start form submission through implementation to issue resolution
  • Effective account management: uncovering provider insights through effective questioning; critical thinking and problem-solving; disseminating data and information to partners
  • Active collaboration with the broader provider relations team to ensure provider experience is in front and center of all value based transactions
  • Build processes to track and monitor provider issues on the value based side and ensure timely resolution
  • Gain in depth understanding of the Cigna’s value based programs quickly and identify opportunities to provide administrative and management support necessary to achieve the goals and objectives of our value based provider groups

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, health-related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years managed healthcare experience. Value Based Performance Management experience preferred
  • Min 3 years’ experience in a leadership role in the areas of Provider Relations, Network Contracting, Value Based Performance Management or Value Based Provider Operations
  • Strong presentation skills required
  • Experience working in an Agile methodology, including tools, is strongly recommended
  • Proven ability to foster collaboration, value others perspectives and gain support and buy-in for organizational proposals.
  • Proven ability to drive and lead an organization through significant change.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills required
  • Strong collaboration, negotiation and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills that result in conclusive recommendations Ability to think critically with respect to improvement of end-to-end business process
  • Extensive experience working across multiple departments in a matrix environment; proven matrix management skills

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 123,800 - 206,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
