Cleveland Brothers, the largest Cat® dealer in Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and western Maryland, has an immediate opportunity for a Strategic Account Manager.
Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc., your local Caterpillar dealership, is looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join our growing team of established and successful Professionals.
The Strategic Account Manager's primary responsibility is to work closely with the Rental Sales Team (Reps and Sales Managers) to retain and grow rental revenue of specific key accounts, as well as identifying rental growth opportunities and develop the strategy to increase rental revenue.
Essential Functions:
- Provide legendary customer service to our target key customers and larger potential customer base to ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Collaborates with leadership to identify growth opportunities and develop the strategy to achieve growth targets
- Serves as the company “expert” on each key account and serves as a liaison to facilitate all efforts to provide a positive customer experience
- Obtain information/data from the customer to support revenue growth
- Performs monthly interaction with customers to maintain an advisory relationship with key decision makers
- Collaborates with rental leadership team to perform a quarterly business review of the portfolio with the customer
- Creates value with safety initiatives in alignment with customers' needs
- Responsible for the overall management of each key account to include, but not limited to, the management of:
o customer damage and/or billing disputes with the customer
o continued communication of rental needs internally to ensure a legendary customer experience
- Meets with the customer to review Annual rental rate and share of wallet/revenue estimate commitment
- Prepares and presents approved contracts/lease agreements to assigned accounts and effectively communicates agreements internally with Rental Team Leadership
- Prepares sales plans, expenses, daily calls, and sales reports
- Work with the Cat National Account Representative both in generating new in-territory National Account prospects and assisting in facilitating business from out of territory National Accounts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expert knowledge of construction equipment and the rental industry
- Expert knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales)
- Excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills with the ability to build long-term business relationships
- Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Understands the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
- Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Driven and results-oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization
- First-class organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills, deadline-oriented
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of four years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required. Three to five years of experience preferred
- College Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Travel:
- Extensive driving required; overnight travel required
