Job Description

Looking for an experienced and motivated hospitality professional to serve as Director of Sales (DOS) for the soon to open brand new Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Billings, MT. The DOS will take lead on creating the Sales Culture in this beautiful new Hotel. Experience and demonstrated achievement in senior hotel sales potions is important. The DOS will work with the GM and the rest of the Courtyard and Marriott teams to set and achieve topline goals. Building and maintaining business accounts, global and local will be a key priority. Making sure that the Hotel is competetively positioned to welcome travelers visiting Billings and Montana is another key priority. Collaborating with the Front Office and the rest of the Hotel Staff to ensure guests have a wonderful experience and wish to return is crucial. The DOS will be succesful by leading daily with great attitude, motivation and energy.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Drive market share growth and guest satisfaction, by soliciting new and existing group
  • Exceed revenue goals in assigned market segments
  • Generating reports, entering business, blocking space and building accounts
  • Responsible for business, group and transient sales for the hotel
  • Conducting thorough and interesting site inspections that highlight key features and benefits of our hotel.
  • Must be highly organized, great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities to increase sales
  • Targeting key accounts potential for the company
  • Acquiring and developing new business accounts and preparing sales proposals for clients
  • Closely following up on all business leads within the response time line to clients
  • Represent hotel in various events and exhibitions
  • Sales calls on and off-site to generate new business and retain existing business
  • Provide quick and timely responses, prompt and professional communication to clients
  • Provide the highest quality of service experience to the customer at all times
  • Attending all department and hotel meetings as necessary
  • Develop strong relationships with team, working in unity to achieve the same goals. Must be team oriented.
  • Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.

Qualifications:


  • Incredible communication skills and impeccable work habits and organizational skills to conduct detailed follow-through with guests, corporate and hotel staff.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours.
  • Strong computer skills to learn complex computer programs.
  • Extensive experience in hospitality sales.
