Reporting to the Sales Manager, this forward-facing role drives sales, successfully builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and actively contributes to large-scale company goals.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team, possessing not only a personable, persuasive, and enthusiastic demeanour but also a focused and driven attitude. The ideal candidate will be process-driven, with strong organizational skills and robust technological proficiency. They will thrive in our hybrid team-oriented environment, demonstrating comfort and aptitude in digital, cloud-based, and data management platforms.

The right candidate must also exhibit strong consultative selling skills and the ability to listen to the customer’s needs. While Adventure Canada primarily conducts sales via digital and telephone communications, the ability to host and deliver in-person and online sales presentations and attend trade shows and events is critical to the position.

This role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the current hybrid arrangement necessitating three weekly commutes to our office in Mississauga, Ontario.

Overarching duties and responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining in-depth product knowledge for expeditions, regions visited, specialty programs, accommodations, and promotions.
  • Driving daily sales through phone, email, social media and in-person interactions.
  • Effectively communicating and advocating product and brand value to support successful conversions.
  • Maximizing conversions by timely follow-ups on inquiries, quotes and pending bookings.
  • Building rapport with clients to drive sales and enhance brand affinity.
  • Excelling under pressure, multi-tasking, and maintaining professional rapport with clients.
  • Ensuring meticulous attention to detail in organizing, maintaining, and keeping client files confidential.
  • Participating in and leading group trainings.
  • Managing inventory.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to streamline booking processes and provide sales and operational/marketing support.
  • Leveraging CRM systems for sales generation and processing while continuously enhancing database management skills.
  • Making recommendations for process, procedure, and technology improvements.
  • Demonstrating self-motivation, initiative, and a strong commitment to personal goals, objectives, and work ethic.
  • Representing Adventure Canada at events and on expeditions

Essentials

  • TICO certified.
  • 2+ years of successful b2b and b2c sales experience
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Excel, and Teams; previous experience with client database management and cloud-based technology; CRM experience is an asset.
  • Must be able to travel for business.
  • Strong domestic, transborder, and international travel knowledge
  • Comfortable in a small office/family business environment; adaptable to a variety of duties
  • Collaborative, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks under tight time frames.
  • Ability to work from home remotely/independently and in a fast-paced hybrid team environment.
  • Creative and energetic with experience selling to sophisticated/affluent clientele.
  • Impeccable public speaking, interpersonal, written, and communications skills.
  • Experience working with multiple currencies and agent commissions is an asset.
  • Fluency in French is an asset.
  • Personal commitments towards lifelong education and implementing the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s calls to action are strong assets.
  • A love for travel and familiarity with Adventure Canada’s expedition destinations is desirable.
Education

Completion of college or university is recommended; however, we are looking for an extremely dynamic salesperson whose enthusiasm, drive, and ability to sell and promote Adventure Canada products may surpass formal education.
