About the Role

ECBM is looking for a Benefit-Group Account Manager to join our team in our Group Benefits Department! This person will report to the Director of Group Benefits. They will maintain assigned clients by servicing exiting business and processing new business, while promoting ongoing client loyalty through adherence to ECBM service standards and providing solutions, with a positive attitude, to client's needs. The Benefits-Group Account Manager is responsible for providing customer service to clients in an efficient and effective way. The Account Manager is also working with the Account Associate daily.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing associate and /or processing transactions with regards to processing all additions/terminations/changes in a timely fashion, Senior Account Managers, and/or Director of Group Benefits satisfaction. All functions to be performed in accordance with ECBM's service and management standards and procedures.
  • Responsible for overseeing associate and /or processing transactions regarding COBRA as requested and required by law using the various COBRA vendors.
  • Responsible for customer service through handling all fully insured customer requests and questions in a timely fashion, to the customer's satisfaction. All functions to be performed in accordance with ECBM's service and management standards and procedures. Promote ongoing client loyalty.
  • Knowledge of IRS qualified legal life events, regulation, and processing time.
  • Knowledge of census data and how to create a marketing census.
  • Knowledge of Zywave.
  • Oversee Associate Responsible for Auditing all applicable client invoices.
  • Oversee Associate Responsible for Auditing all open enrollment carrier invoices and transactions.
  • Oversee Associate Responsible for updating O Drive with carrier contracts, certificates, and billing.
  • Oversee Associate Responsible for Weekly Employee Navigator reporting and applicable transactions.
  • Oversee Associate Responsible for keeping client carrier and contact information updated.
  • Oversee Associate with Monthly Newsletter Articles.
  • Responsible for RFP preparation.
  • Responsible for Fully Insured Renewals and renewal spreadsheets.
  • Retain, in conjunction with the Group Benefits Producer, all assigned accounts, according to ECBM standards and procedures:
  • Set up new business by processing applications, preparing necessary forms, schedule all medical exams if necessary and create customer file. Additional Company requirements must be handled in a timely fashion. Follow up with carrier for policy issuance and with client for policy delivery receipt requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with insurance company's representative. Stay current with company product knowledge and changing company products and underwriting requirements.
  • Keep Producer and Director informed on any important activity of their clients.
  • Respond to agency quality management efforts. Assist in reduction of E & O exposures.
  • Assist all clients, departments or associates when required and requested to maintain firm's relationships and good standing.
  • Special Projects as assigned by management.

Education & Experience

  • Appropriate licenses
  • Knowledge of Group Benefit Products
  • Minimum of five (5) years of insurance experience
  • Computer experience required.
  • Ability to process high volume of transactions accurately in a customer service environment.
  • Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills.
