POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Technical Lead helps to lead the software development discipline for all technology departments at ITA Group as it relates to building software applications being utilized to implement base platform technology developed by ITA Group. The Technical Lead will work closely with the Enterprise Architect, Data Architect, Solutions Architect and other Technical Leads to create and continually evolve Software Development practices at ITA Group, provide coaching and mentoring regarding the software development discipline and to design and develop solutions and work directly with teams working on ITA Group base platform technology to ensure they are following the aforementioned practices and principles.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related major or an Associate’s degree with comparable work experience.
- Excellent understanding of Software Development, Data Development or Quality Assurance Analyst roles in an Agile Software Development environment.
- Minimum six years of experience and understanding of developing and supporting web applications in one or more of the roles listed below
- Software Developer
- Quality Assurance Analyst
- Web Developer
- Integrations or Data Developer
- Development experience should include
- Using Microsoft .NET technologies
- Experience in defining and refining development and/or testing strategies
- Using Test Driven Development, Domain Driven Design and/or Behavior Driven Design methodologies in an Agile environment
- Understanding of object oriented programming and design patterns
- Using Continuous Integration tools and approaches
- Using integration toolsets and platforms – e.g., MuleSoft, Nifi
- Troubleshooting complex problems in integrated systems
- Release and Incident management
- Excellent understanding of relational database design & concepts.
- Understanding of non-relational databases and processes to create data warehouses and data stores.
- Understanding of n-tier or event based application architectures and application security controls.
- Understanding of developing and deploying scalable systems - on-premises or cloud.
- Ability to select, train and coach personnel.
- Demonstrated use of technical writing skills to produce process documentation and to provide constructive feedback to others.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Ability in facilitating conflict resolution.
- Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers’ needs in a timely manner.
- Ability to organize and plan the work necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
