We are currently looking for an Estimator for our Moncton branch.

Since 1930, Vicwest has been North America’s metal roofing and cladding experts – engineering and manufacturing metal roofing and all type of products relative to building envelope that withstand our harshest climates. Not only are our products environmentally friendly, but our aim is to produce them in the most environmentally responsible way.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Regional Sales Manager, the Estimator provides cost estimates for projects in the residential, light commercial, institutional and agricultural projects. Using blueprint reading and own industry experience, the Estimator prepares quantity statements and estimate documents for presentation to customers.

Key responsibilities:

Receives requests for estimates and registers them in the request follow-up report
Ensures compliance with the client’s request and, if necessary, makes recommendations in collaboration with employees from other departments
Estimates the material required to accomplish each construction project based on the specifics and needs for the customer
Evaluates profitability of products and services in relation to a project, actual costs versus bids throughout project development while maintaining acceptable profit margins
Prepares all the necessary documents on a regular basis to ensure equipment and the support to carry out the projects
Monitors projects and performs the necessary actions to obtain orders
Provides technical support and responds to customer inquiries regarding Vicwest products, maintenance and warranty programs
Supports the sales force for the resolution of issues to respond to technical requests about our products or their applications

Estimator

Qualifications:

College diploma in architectural design or related field
Candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years or more of experience at this level
Experience with architectural panels, insulated panels or metal is as an asset
Blueprint reading is an asset
Bilingual in French and English is a requirement
Proficiency in the of MS office suite of software, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Auto CAD
Demonstrates excellent communication skills
Streamlines processes to improve efficiency
Demonstrates initiative
Experience in project management
Ability to work within a multifunctional team

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
