Job Description
As a Regional sales consultant, Individual life insurance, you are covering the Atlantic region and Ottawa area. You utilize strong knowledge of the Life and Health Insurance industry, Desjardins Insurance products and services to proactively support the advisor community within the assigned territory(ies). Your key responsibilities are to cultivate and maintain business relationships, generate new sales, find new opportunities to grow existing business to help reach and surpass sales and activity targets. Importantly, you ensure advisors satisfaction and service quality in accordance with the organization’s standards and procedures. You will also drive results by reviewing complex requests and help promote and sell products and services based on client needs. In partnership with your Regional Sales Director(s), you work with advisors who have development potential, analyze their client needs and help develop and implement personalized solutions. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Conduct proactive outbound sales calls, using a consultative sales approach, to identify needs, problems and/or opportunities to position Desjardins Insurance solutions as the number #1 choice and deliver strong telephone and/or virtual sales presentations
- Demonstrate effective management and prioritization of leads and prequalify advisors for business opportunities or potential to meet your Regional Sales Director
- Provide training and onboarding to distribution partners, advisors and their support staff on products, services and solutions (webi setup, introduction to tools, etc.)
- Support in-person events as required and administer of CE certificates for in-person and/or online events
- Partner and work in close relationship with Regional Sales Director(s) through effective and ongoing communication and territory planning
- Document your activities in a CRM and track results with reporting tools
- Stay on top of the latest standards, products, and services in your field.

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience in a similar position in individual insurance
- Industry designation Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)
- Active Life and Health license in your province of residence
- Expert) proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
