What Do You Do Every Day?
- Inspire and manage teams of Sales Managers, Consulting Application Engineers, Sales Engineers and Interns across assigned geography.
- Create both strategic and tactical plans to increase Schneider Electric’s market share. Understand both short- and longterm market landscape, growth potential, and target segments to develop coverage and sales strategies for the Area.
- Exceed sales and profitability targets to assist in achieving Schneider Electric’s vision for growth in assigned geography. Use customer relationship management (CRM) software and data analytics to shape sales and orders forecasts for Supply Chain and Staffing. Establish budgets to manage costs and to maximize return on investment.
- Develop talent through recruiting, training, coaching, mentoring, employee engagement, and performance management. Foster organizational culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Coach teams throughout the sales cycle: prospect, qualify, solution, pursuit, negotiate and convert. Set expectations for both customer retention and new customer acquisition.
- Develop and sponsor executive relationships with local Channel Partners, Consulting Engineers, Electrical Contractors, and End Users. Identify growth segments and key business transformations required for success. Establish business-to-business expectations and mitigate commercial disputes should they arise.
Who are we looking for? - This job might be for you if:
- 5+ years relevant sales or commercial experience preferred. Cross-functional or Cross-Business Unit experience is a plus.
- 2+ years experience managing direct reports preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business is preferred. A combination of education and/or 10 years relevant experience will be considered.
- Local market experience and/or networks in electrical distribution or energy management industries
- Experience with any of the following: low voltage electrical distribution, medium voltage electrical distribution equipment, automation, controls, or energy management technologies. Familiarity with Power Distribution Equipment such as loadcenters, circuit breakers, busway, panelboards, transformers, switchboards, electrical components, surge protective devices, paralleling switchgear, services, and software preferred.
- Able to travel 25% as required.
