What is the role?
- Candidate will work with an existing list of small to medium-sized businesses currently utilizing online advertising and marketing services on our client’s platform.
- This is an outbound sales role – the expectation is to be consistent in exceeding quarterly targets through high-volume outbound calling.
- Candidate will be responsible for obtaining information regarding the customers’ business and advertising goals to capture and build market intelligence.
- The candidate will be responsible for finding contact information for the organizations through research.
- Candidate will be responsible for speaking with decision-makers over the phone to increase the value of their online advertisements through optimization; with an aim to increase customer investment and/or increase the length of time that a customer will maintain their campaign.
- The candidatewill contact each customer identified on the list to provide a strategic advertising consultation and capture sales opportunities that include an advertising campaign relevant to client goals/needs. We look to develop a relationship with the advertiser over several calls throughout the quarter.
- The metrics are pitching solutions and products on the platform. We track if the advertiser took action and spent a certain budget based on the suggestion/advice we offer.
- The requirement is to contact all customers provided on the list and set up multiple calls with them to build a relationship and to better understand and help them achieve their goals. The assigned list of customers will be on a quarterly basis, with new accounts assigned on a rolling basis.
- The goal is: the more confidence in the platform we help the advertiser have, the more likely they will spend more and likely see improved results based on the consultations provided.
Day to Day
- Fast paced, busy, productivity is a key element success. Expectation is being on the phone most of the day making outbound calls.
- Proactive outreach (cold calling) from a list of advertisers and pitching to the prospective client and engage them into wanting to set up a full value call.
- With proactive outreach (cold calling), it can be repetitive work as candidate may not always reach the client on the first second or third call.
- The goal is to have at least 4+ full-value calls scheduled per day in your calendar, each lasting 30-45 minutes.
- Time spent in between full value calls will be:
- Proactive outreach (cold calling) from a list of businesses
- Following up with advertisers, checking in on how they are doing, answering emails
- Trainings, huddles, coaching sessions
- Contact research
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience in upselling
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in sales or a related field
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Knowledge of B2B sales and negotiation techniques
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM software
- Spanish language proficiency would be an asset
Hours/Training
- Monday – Friday. Shifts can vary anywhere between 9 am-6:30pm, and hours may vary between 35-44hrs / per week. Shift bids are placed to determine which shift candidate gets based on metrics on a monthly basis
- Training is an 8 week training program. 4 weeks of in-classroom training and 4 weeks of Nesting. Going live with list of advertisers and starting making calls, the candidate will have support from our trainers, SMEs and Team Leads
