What does the job consist?:
Soitec business is growing across all regions and major customers in the US are also increasing. Following the strategy defined by the Regional Sales Lead, you will work on commercial activity aimed at improving performance and results. on the first half of the sales cycle :

  • Implementation and execution of the prospecting strategy;
  • Targeting new customers (choice of customer verticals) to identify new markets for products or services;
  • Development of partnerships (indirect sales);
  • The success of the adoption of our engineered substrate comes with closed interaction with the full value chain from foundries, IDM, Fabless and System companies;
  • The successful candidate will be able to develop his knowledge, network, and interactions within the full value chain of the the US industry for mobile communication (5G), automotive (NEV) and smart devices (AIoT);
  • The role has a unique combination of business and technology within the substrate market;
  • Marketing analysis for the US market

Ensure smooth execution of sales activity is key, your main task will be to identify new business opportunities in order to improve the profitability and competitiveness of Soitec in US. Few main missions will be:

  • Responsible for key KPI’s: Revenue & Market Share
  • Builds effective relationships with customers including executives at all key customers, as well as the entire ecosystem (fabless, system companies, etc.) in the region
  • Maps customer’s organizations and manages the overall relationship strategy with Soitec BU’s and functions
  • Responsible for identifying key decision makers and organize regular customer executive reviews
  • Responsible for connecting and creating the customer technology engagements across the entire Soitec value proposition
  • Takes a leading role in the collection and validation of market and competitive intelligence;
  • Understanding of competitors as well as technology alternatives available to customers
  • Identifies Sales Opportunity Funnel of Design-wins and Design-Ins to fuel future profitable growth
  • Works with BU and sales team on formulating selling strategies. Actively manages
  • implementation and execution of Soitec’s overall strategies at each customer in the region.
  • Takes an active role in supporting Soitec’s growth initiatives into new markets
  • Provides leadership and guidance to the US Sales Team
  • Fosters a high-performance team culture, and constantly raises the bar for his team. Grows the team’s skillset and capabilities in anticipation of business growth
Requirements & qualifications:
You’ve gained a minimum of 8 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Your technical skills allow you to understand the semiconductor challenges and global ecosystems. Fluent in English, you are used to working with different cultures. You are motivated by challenges and commercial stakes.

Educational Qualifications :
BS required, MBA, MS preferred
Expérience :
  • 8+ years of technical experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Sales Experience in similar role with Tier-1 customer accounts

Technical / Job Knowledge :
  • Preferred experience in Semiconductor wafer sales (Wafer company) or IC design (Fabless, Design companies in the RF Front End, III-V Compound, Specialty products area). Other experience in Material and Equipment sales in the Semiconductor industry can be of interest.
  • Understand Semiconductor Technology and/or IC technology
  • Understand business process in the sales cycle

Personal Capabilities :
  • Connection w/ high-level executives within US Semiconductor foundries, IDM or fabless is preferred
  • English speaking/writing fluency a MUST
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication and networking skills
  • Detailed-oriented professional with a commitment to thoroughness and accuracy
  • Proven sales track record in field customer penetration
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written, verbal)
  • Team player
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and skills
  • Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Sense of commitment and urgency
  • Flexibility for business travel both international and domestic
  • Good interpersonal skills, and track record in building relationships with customers, local
  • account teams, and product divisions alike
  • Self-motivated and driven. Able to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Highly organized, analytical, process oriented
  • Experience in complex sales cycle including high value technology requirements
