SALES ENABLEMENT MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY

The Sales Enablement Manager will simplify our training knowledge needs in a market that is increasingly becoming more complex as technology and employers’ expectations continue to evolve and change quickly.
The Sales Enablement Manager role is a key member of the Growth Team and will be focused on developing and improving the performance of an Empyrean’s new and existing client facing teams. This role will oversee all the components of supporting the sales team in directing sales-related initiatives such as training, best practices, content, tools and technology.
This person will serve as the liaison between sales, marketing and product departments and will have the responsibility for providing Empyrean market facing teams with the necessary training and resources that will maximize productivity and sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The sales enablement manager will create effective onboarding processes for new sales reps so they can be successful in their new position as quickly as possible.
  • Responsible for overseeing all sales training programs and educational content for sales SAA and Channel Enablement Reps, from foundational training to continuous learning and development programs. Focus will be on 4 primary areas of training and readiness.

  • Own and maintain the Empyrean Way to Win. Ensuring the proper KPI’s are being measured and evaluating outcomes that will drive additional training or recommendations in supporting needs.
  • Partner with Empyrean’s Learning and Development Team in deploying trainings that include online or digital courses and instructor-led sales training. Ensure proper adult learning methods are being used and measured.
  • Partner with Product Marketing in developing and maintaining key components of Empyreans sales enablement content management system – Highspot.
  • Responsible for managing several projects at one-time from inception through completion.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership on sales effectiveness. Using key data and analytics through sales force to support and drive trainings. Gather input from sales leaders and Identify, cohort or individual training / improvement needs and build programs to ensure success.
  • Drive and Foster alignment across sales and marketing. Ensure activities, tools and systems are aligned and content is optimized, consistent and easily accessible, that will make the sales process more efficient and effective.
  • Develop and manage performance analysis - use performance analysis data to calculate the return on investment (ROI) of enablement processes. Some of the key performance analysis activities include:
  • Track and analyze all training, content, and courseware usage
  • Evaluate metrics and effectiveness of sales initiatives
  • Track sales enablement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Use performance data to pinpoint gaps in knowledge or skills of sales team
  • Empyrean Product and Knowledge - this position requires a deep understanding of the products and content the organization produces. You will know how the content relates to and fits into the customer journey, from initial exposure to the creation of brand loyalty and customer retention.
  • Own the annual sales kick-off – ensure the right topics, training are ready and deployed at the annual Empyrean sales kick-off.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strategic thinking - must have strong strategic and analytical thinking skills to effectively support the sales team in all its functions and create the greatest ROI for the sales team. You will make decisions based on analysis of metrics and data, and constantly be seeking ways to improve all processes in the growth process.
  • Data-driven -evaluating the results of activities and initiatives is a key part of the sales enablement role.
  • Innovation - staying aware of trends and tools, the development of new tools, theories and technologies as the marketplace evolves. You must be adaptable, flexible and forward-thinking. Innovation requires the ability to be proactive in implementing new processes, strategies or tools for the revenue teams.
  • Technological skills - requires extensive knowledge of sales enablement technology, processes and best practices. The revenue enablement platform consists of several technological tools and systems that correlate and manage different areas, such as Highspot (CMS), Sales Force (CRM) and training or educational programs.
  • Sales process methodologies - you must have a deep understanding of the buyer's journey to connect customers and prospects with proper content and sales activities at every step of the process. Today's market is rapidly transforming, and it is crucial for you to align market changes with the evolution of the buyer's journey and Empyrean’s sales effectiveness.
  • Training skills – you will need knowledge of sales training best practices, such as delivery and implementation. Developmental sales coaching is another key aspect of expertise. They will also need to be familiar with adult learning theory.
  • Demonstrated time management skills like multitasking and prioritizing. You must be able prioritize tasks and campaigns, streamline processes and operations effectively. Your time management actions are a direct responsibility to teach the growth team to balance and manage time and projects effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills – confidence and experience in communicating directly with senior management, sales and marketing team members.
  • Strong collaboration, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills across diverse personalities and multiple revenue departments
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 7-10 years of minimum Sales Enablement Experience and demonstrated track-record of success.
  • Employee Benefits and/or Benefit Administration selling or training experience
  • Plan and facilitate meetings efficiently and effectively
  • Coordinate variety of diverse activities, initiatives, training programs and projects
  • Travel as required 10-15% of your time
