Position: Customer Service Manager


Primary Responsibilities

Lead a team of Customer Service Representatives dedicated to providing on-going post-sale commercial support to Timberline's OEM customers. Develop and execute a proactive customer service model focused on building long term customer loyalty and value. Support and lead ongoing Sales Enablement activities.


Principal Accountabilities

  • Manage the post-sale administrative activities including order entry, expediting, RMAs and order status updates
  • Provide direct supervision for the Customer Service team
  • Lead the on-going orders prioritization and expediting process
  • Partner with Production and Production Scheduling to resolve on-going customer issues and ensure alignment of sales with production
  • Develop and maintain repeatable processes for providing high quality Customer Service
  • Coach and mentor the Customer Service team
  • Communicate schedule changes with internal and external customers based on customers input and expectations
  • Build strong trust-based working relationships with key OEM customers
  • Assist the Director of Sales and the Business Unit Managers with on-going Sales Enablement activities
  • Additional projects and responsibilities as assigned


Required Skills

  • 5 years previous experience with customer service or customer facing responsibilities, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience leading a customer service team preferred
  • Must have a positive attitude with a customer centric mentality
  • Proven track record of working with customers and building customer loyalty
  • Ability to balance competing customer requirements
  • Good communications skills both written and verbal
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively with a focus of timeliness and responsiveness
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to motivate and lead the team
  • Familiarity with EPICOR ERP or another ERP system preferred
