Clarity on the Role:

The AVP of Market Operations is the market leader responsible for the relationship, performance and successful delivery of services across a multi-state region of up to 400 physician practices.

The AVP of Market Operations is responsible for overall account management, performance delivery and people management for their region, The AVP of Market Operations leads and develops a team of 6-8 Market Managers. This critical role is ultimately accountable for creating and driving the market strategy to deliver operational, quality, and financial performance.

What's Expected:

  • Overall Account Management: Responsible for region’s performance on value-based KPIs, provider satisfaction and retention. Build relationships with client organizations through a partnership with Market Presidents and owns facilitation of key conversations with practice regarding strategic and operational topics with executive-level client decision makers monthly.
  • Performance Delivery: Builds and drives strategic action plans with Manager, Clinical Operations to improve practice performance outliers. KPIs and action plans include scheduling, care management, accurate risk adjustment and clinical documentation, quality/care gaps and practice support and implementation.
  • Collaborates with leaders from other departments to ensure adequate people, process, technology are supplied and managed to deliver on practice action plans.
  • Responsible for successful onboarding and implementation of Wellvana’s core services and technology. Works with Implementation Team to ensure that onboarding tasks are completed timely.
  • Accountable for ensuring practices and providers are receiving timely and appropriate coding education on a monthly basis. Regularly interfaces with Director of Managed Care for their market to build and oversee an effective strategy for payor contracting, payor engagement and specialty network management.
  • Provides?leadership and direction for 6-8 Market Managers to ensure productivity and quality across all practice support functions are being met or exceeded.
  • Supports growth efforts in the region, working closely with business development partners in the market to deliver growth targets and build/refine market-specific growth strategies.
  • Foster and develop the Wellvana culture among colleagues promoting an atmosphere?of engagement, trust, and open dialogue.
  • Ensure strict compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Up to 40% travel is required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
Requirements:

What’s Required:

  • Education (Degree/Major): Bachelors degree in healthcare related field required; MBA Preferred
  • Certifications: Clinical certification preferred, but not required
  • Years of Related Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 8+ years of management?experience, utilizing productivity and efficiency measures
  • Skills:

  • Leadership experience in a clinical operations environment and/or management of a?significant P&L

  • Intense intellectual curiosity and an ability to view old problems with a fresh??perspective

  • Excellent written, computer, and oral communication skills
  • PowerPoint and Excel experience required
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and ability to?learn department and job-specific software systems.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
