HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Manage existing accounts and also expand sales growth by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of quotations, samples, and initial production shipments.
- Establish close contact with all relevant customers purchasing, engineering, quality, and manufacturing personnel to gain their assistance in the maintenance of current business and development of new business.
- Travel as needed to support the customer and to support/develop new opportunities.
- Ensure that all commercial, engineering, technical, and quality issues are discussed and resolved with the appropriate customers and internal personnel.
- Coordinate and organize visits to plants and technical sites to ensure that the customer needs/requirements are being met.
- Actively participate in achieving company goals and objectives in regards to quality, cost, profit, and return on sales.
- Keep fully informed of product and manufacturing changes that are internal and external to the organization.
- Have a proficient knowledge of internal and customer systems and how to use them to benefit the business.
- Develop new accounts, markets, or product niches that allow the organization continued growth and profit.
- Develop sales plan/forecast, long term strategic plan, and competitor information.
- Assist in accounts receivables as needed
- Exhibit detailed customer presentations, and manage and coordinate multiple projects concurrently
- Evaluate the business issues and prioritize activities while communicating the changing needs of the marketplace to assist in the development of new products and materials.
- Design and recommend sales programs and establish short and long-term sales strategies. Provide management with key sales information.
- Work with engineering and operations to develop new business proposals for consideration and implementation.
- Develop key customer relationships for Rebo in the region and support the technical prospecting and development of new business by influencing the customers engineering to source Rebo as a vendor.
- Lead the development of quotes and pricing in the region and ensure that the commercial negotiations with the customers are in alignment with the strategies of the company.
- Ensure that a product technical savings process is active at the customer and supported by engineering.
- Ensure that value propositions are current with customers.
- Attend customer and/or supplier conferences.
YOUR KEY ATTRIBUTES
- You have a Bachelor’s degree focused in Business, Sales or Marketing
- You have at least 4+ years automotive experience. (preferably in Automotive Lighting)
- You are knowledgeable in the following areas:
- Basic blueprint reading
- Product specific nomenclature and materials
- Research, development, and testing capabilities
- Lighting products, injection molding, electronics
- Manufacturing processes including Lean Manufacturing principles
- Quality system and internal processes including IATF16949 procedures and requirements, APQP, CQCR/ Noncompliance issues, SPC Concepts
- Customer Process Systems, VA/VE Concepts, Problem Solving, PPAP, Customer Specific APQP, Customer Ratings/Scorecard, Customer Standards (Process and Material)
- You are able to understand cost and pricing development, contract review/production tool orders/price downs and are familiar with the forecasting system
- You have strong financial analysis skills and understand sales and administration
- You are an exceptional communicator with excellent negotiation, project management and presentation skills
- You are accountable, and demonstrate integrity by delivering what is promised
