Job Summary:

The Sales/Marketing Assistant will provide support to the sales and marketing departments. This includes order entry, customer service, qualifying potential buyers and setting up sales call appointments, collecting documents needed for new accounts, and entering new customer information. The person in this position will lead by example and place the utmost value on dependability, reliability, and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities:

  • New Customer Setup – collect the resale certificate, create new customer accounts in ERP system (Acumatica), enter customer’s first order, and assign that new customer to an Account Manager for further maintenance and sales.
  • Faire – respond to messages, suggest additional items to add to orders (upsell), enter orders in Acumatica.
  • Plushology – enter retail orders in Acumatica from Shopify, PayPal, Zazzle, Walmart, and Amazon.
  • Sales Rep Support – enter orders submitted by independent sale reps.
  • Credit Applications – send and receive credit applications, reach out to credit references and follow up, report back to the sales rep or account manager if additional references are required, reporting finalized credit reference information to accounting to determine terms, and reporting back to the customer / sales rep / account manager on the credit application final decision.
  • Provide customer service support – answer phone calls; provide order status updates and tracking information.
  • Customization Mockups – learn to create and adjust customer requested mockups in Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva with existing art or customer’s logo.
  • List Cleaning – use internet sources and phone calls to verify marketing leads and obtain correct lead details.
  • Phone Calls & Emails – contact verified marketing leads, communicate persuasively and successfully, qualify businesses, overcome objections, email RGU’s catalog, and set qualified appointments for sales calls.
  • Tracking Activity – enter relevant data and sales development activities into CRM system.
  • Sales Calls – perform initial sales calls with qualified leads, present RGU’s product and catalog, follow up within a reasonable amount of time, and take an order.

Job Qualifications:

  • Required MS Office Suite skills.
  • Required High School Diploma or equivalency. Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle opposition.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. Attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, GIMP, or Inkscape preferred.

Compensation:

  • Pay is $15.00/hour (pay periods are bi-weekly).
  • Set SPIFF dollar amount per sales meeting (call or Teams) completed yourself or completed by an Account Manager from an appointment you set up with a qualified buyer (SPIFFs are paid monthly).
  • Set commission amount on new customer’s first order (commission is paid monthly after orders are invoiced).
  • Potential for bonuses based on company profitability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
